So far we have been here for a week+ and we cannot confidently say one word in Polish sort of sad since we have actually been trying.
How would you say this?

Nope - it's pronounced
Gen-koo-yeh
And apparently there is some subtlety that we are still missing in the pronunciation.

No kidding. This must be one of the hardest languages in the world. I did learn a few other phrases, though. And I mean a few.
How would you projounce, proszę bardzo? It's something like proshey vardo. That's you're welcome.
I also learned dzień dobry, pronounced jen dobray, which is good morning and good day.
Hahnna learned how to say I'm sorry, but I've forgotten that alredy. She used it a lot. :)
